ReplyDeleteIts important in science to distinguish between concepts and mechanisms.concepts are substrate independent, whereas mechanisms always depend on some kind of substrate. concepts borrowed from other disciplines can assist in addressing a problem or gaining new insight understanding mechanisms always require experiments on the relevent substrate.
